Ian’s Update May 2022

Firstly can we apologise for the fact we had to postpone our Spring Concerts at Taverham Village Hall.   In the days leading up to the concert, 8 members of the band and production team fell to the Covid virus and it was clear that we would be unable to put on the production from a musical and technical point of view.

Tickets (also now on sale here) are valid for our concerts on October 21st & 22nd for the same night.  This concert will feature our ‘Brass Rocks’ programme with a programme of great music from some of the biggest pop artists!

We would like to welcome Paul Frostwick to the cornet section and we’re pleased to say that apart from a couple of delays, all the musicians are now back in the band playing.

April sees us at Spixworth Village Hall and at the end of May we have our first of three performances at Kelling Heath Holiday Park.

A landmark moment has been passed by myself in recent months having been Musical Director of the Band for 30 years having taken over in March 1992 when Norwich City were playing in Europe under Mike Walker!

We will be back in Taverham over the Jubilee weekend for the village event and then in October for our Autumn “Brass Rocks” concerts.
