With the usual winter issues in January affecting rehearsals, we eventually got back in the swing of things and started our 2013 programme with a Round Table dinner at Marriott Sprowston Manor Hotel.

We have concerts locally at Taverham on 22nd & 23rd March and at Ringland Church on Saturday 27thApril.  Tickets for the Ringland concert will be available from me on 01603 868680,  Online Here or on the door.

Exploding Brass!  with the ‘Last Night of the Proms!’

Saturday 20th July 2013 – Taverham Hall

Plans for this year’s Exploding Brass! are well underway with this being our 9th concert since 1995 and will be the biggest and best yet.  We have ‘The He Hews’ taking part this year featuring our drummer John Clarke whom you may see performing near Jarrolds on a Saturday morning.  Musician and singer Sam Kelly who reached the final of 2012 Britain’s Got Talent to be beaten by Ashley and Pudsey the dog joins us for the first time.  We also welcome the return of West End and BBC 1’s ‘The Voice’ star, Tenor Benjamin Lake and of course our own Rebecca Mundy to perform during the evening including the favourites from the ‘Last Night of Proms’.   More details on the programme next month but we will be featuring a tribute to the blockbuster film and West End smash hit ‘Les Miserables’ and celebrate 50 years of The Beatles and James Bond.

We are delighted to have the services of Kimbolton Fireworks who for several years have produced the displays for London New Year’s Eve and the Edinburgh Hogmanay, and also in 2012 the fantastic displays at the 2012 Olympic Games.  Finally we are also delighted to have the return of BBC’s Nick Conrad who will present the evening.  All in all a fantastic event is lined up and we urge you to get tickets now at their discounted advance purchase price.

Under 5’s are free.   A limited number of gazebo pitches are available at £20.  Tickets will be at the usual outlets from March.  Tickets on the gate will by £25 and £12 respectively, subject to availability.
