Well, we hope you all enjoyed our Autumn Concerts at Taverham Village Hall – we once again played to a sell out crowds. We played some classic arrangements including “Mary Poppins”, “Wicked” and “Swing when you’re Winning”.
This year we brought back the Façade Singers which really brought the numbers to life. Whilst the melody of a piece such as “Till I Hear You Sing” ( from “Love Never Dies”) is very powerful, it takes on a different meaning when you add the lyrics – it is only then that the true emotions can come through. We really felt the vocals gave the concerts an extra edge and the audiences seemed to agree! It also gave the vocalists the rare opportunity of performing with a live forty-piece band which, as they will tell you, is an amazing experience
We hate to mention Christmas but our shows are already selling out fast. The concerts take place on 16th and 17th December at the Village Hall and 13th December at Taverham Church for the Candelit Carol Concert. Tickets can be secured online – click here – or from The Sweetbucket, Abbotts Estate Agents (Taverham) and Drayton Post Office.
We shall also be producing our Armistice Day Concert on 11th November at Taverham Church and the programme will include music from both World Wars, famous speeches and other reflective music. Proceeds from this concert will be donated to Help For Heroes.
Tickets for all concerts are £8 adult and £4 children
Once again we thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you all very soon.
Finally we would like to thank 3-Line Electrical for kindly continuing their sponsorship of the Training Band.
