Hello everyone ! When we last met on these pages we were off Belgium to play a series of concerts – the tour was a great success, a highlight being, playing in the Ypres Market Place, in competition with the Cloth Hall Bells ! – we last visited Ypres in 2016 when we played at the Menim Gate Ceremony. You may recall the gate contains the names of those Soldiers who gave their lives in the area during WW1 and have no known grave. It was, once again, very moving to return to the gate.
We played three concerts in the area and were met with enthusiastic crowds from Belgium and many parts of the world. Based in the beautiful city of Bruges, the band enjoyed some social time, including a fascinating tour of the main brewery and surrounding bars ! Our tour concluded with a concert in the lovely bandstand in Ostend. A special thanks to our loyal band of supporters and helpers who joined us on the tour.
