Taverham Band – Newsletter August 2021
Well as I write this in early July it is pleasing to report that the band have recommenced rehearsals for the past month and everyone getting their lips back in order and back to playing! The other good news is that our youngsters have returned after a 15 month absence from the training band and with the exception of 1, all are back!
We have to have bell covers (glorified tights stretched over the instrument bell!) but hopefully these can be made obsolete soon – its difficult/nigh impossible to use a mute when these covers are used!
Over the end of July and August/September we have a few outdoor events booked in and it will be good to get back to a concert performance – our last being Christmas 2019!
If things all progress as we hope that we hope to be able to return to the Taverham Village Hall in October (15th & 16th) for our Autumn concerts – details in next months edition…
Hope to see you all soon!
