Training Band

Taverham Training Band

The Training Band was formed in February 2009 and is progressing really well. We currently have 24 learners playing and supported by senior band members to enable 1:2 support.  There is a small charge to come along.

We meet at from 6.30pm to 7.15pm on a Tuesday evening at Drayton Infant School ** and the training band is supported and endorsed by the schools in the local area through the Norfolk County Music Services.  Any learner brass musician of any age is welcome to attend.

**[With effect from Tuesday 20th July 2021 and until further notice the Training Band will meet at Hall for All, Weston Longville]

Members of Taverham Band work with the local infant schools in demonstrating and allowing pupils to try out brass instruments.  This helps encourage the children to take up learning a brass instrument when they reach junior school.
